College of PharmacyThe College of Pharmacy was established in 1945. The pharmacy building was funded by an appointed financial committee of prominent businessmen connected with the pharmaceutical industry in Indiana. Butler believed the pharmaceutical education could be continued and broadened with butlers wide education (Snyder, 1945). At this time, the College of Pharmacy was not yet known as "The college of Pharmacy & Health Sciences", as this addition was made in the late 1900s. (About the College of Pharmacy & Health Services, 2019)
|
Before PharmacyThe Butler University College of Pharmacy was created from the Indianapolis College of Pharmacy. Butler's extension was because the Indianapolis College was known to have a long and honorable career of developing pharmaceutical education. The Dean and faculty members from Indianapolis' pharmacy college became a part of Butler's pharmacy college as soon as it was constructed. (Snyder, 1945)
